The fifth édition
 

The European Grant for Cutlery Creation is a contest open to all young professionals and to students who are training in the speciality of design, architecture, plastic art or graphics .
In a place such as THIERS, where over the centuries the manufacturing tradition has been accompanied by creativity around a multi-shaped object “ the knife”.

The objective of this contest is to favour and encourage the meeting of traditional creativity and its know-how with contemporary design and the new creators of the future.

This fifth grant has for its theme:" Kitchen Ranges"
This is the field left open for thought for this event.
This concept of course is unanimous on the necessary cutler’s utensils for the housewife, homemaker or an amateur chef.
Thought must also be given to a way of presenting these objects in space, on a worktop surface, an apron or on all portable systems.

HANDING IN OF PROJECTS :
The projects must be posted by registered post with acknowledgement of reception at the latest for 31/12/05 before midnight;
the postage stamp date will be taken into consideration.
Each candidate can present a maximum of two projects.
The return of projects is anonymous.
For each project the file must be composed of:
- A board in the A3 size presenting the technical drawings from all sides.
- A board in the A3 size presenting a real situation of the created product and drawings of all sides as well as a possible model.
- A presentation text and commentary on the project (maximum of 2 typed pages) and if possible a sample of the material used.
- An envelope with the candidate or team’s identification file.
