| The first edition of the European Cutlery Design Market was a success with the participation of almost 200 projects on the theme "The town knives". | |||

| A jury, presided by Alberto Alessi, choose the laureate projects (see photo) and awarded the two Grand Prix to "Credit Card" and "Spang". | |||

| In 1996,the second market was entitled " One can contribute to flatware" as proposals were wanted for cutlery for the table taking into account the development habits of our times. | |||

| A jury presided by Jean-Pierre VITRAC, designer, had to decide on the laureates and then the Grand Prix price winners. Three projects won an award : "Katana", "Barbarian" and "Microcosmos". | |||
